Welcome to Happy Sailing sailing yacht rental and it is nice that you are looking for a suitable sailing boat for your sailing holiday or sailing weekend in the Netherlands.
We are specialized in renting out sailing yachts between 30 and 50 feet on the IJsselmeer, Markermeer and in Zeeland.
Renting one of our sailing yachts is quick and easy. Find the yacht that appeals to you the most and complete the boat booking at the bottom of the same page. You will immediately receive a confirmation for your sailing holiday by email. We are then always available by email or telephone to answer any questions about the sailboat, sailing itself or, for example, nice harbors around the IJsselmeer or other pleasant inland waterways in the Netherlands.
Personal contact and yachts issued by owners themselves
We also like to keep the contact warm and personal. You can contact us at any time with all your questions about sailing and renting, every day of the week from 09:00 to 21:00 (and often even later 😉 ).
The sailing boats are well maintained by Happy Sailing or by the yacht owner himself. Several yachts are issued by the owner himself; this also contributes to a warm and personal contact. You will immediately notice the love that the owner feels for his yacht and you will also experience this in the condition of the yachts. Everything looks and feels great.

Sailing yacht rental services, at Happy Sailing
If desired, the beds will be made for you, so that you only have to hoist the sails on the sailing boat that you rent.
We also offer an exclusive return service, whereby we sail the boat back for you so that you can end your holiday in any desired port.
How does Happy Sailing work? At Happy Sailing we rent out cabin sailing yachts. Some of these vessels are owned by us, and others are yachts that we rent to owners. We have strict requirements to ensure that all ships are in optimal condition. The sailing yacht is of course the most important for us, but immediately after that comes the experience of water sports. We don’t just rent out sailing boats, we offer you an experience on the water. We think along with you which sailboat is best for you to rent, and we can help you with the planning of the holiday. What can Happy Sailing do for you? Happy Sailing has a lot of experience and contacts within the sailboat rental market. Not only do we charter sailing yachts, we offer even more services on the water.
You can contact us for company outings, bachelor days, teambuilding sessions, or competition training. Have you always wanted to sail a sailing race? Then rent one of our ships, including skipper, and participate in sailing competitions such as the 24-hour sailing competition or Ronde om Noord-Holland!
What are the conditions to rent a sailboat? At Happy Sailing you can rent a sailing yacht without a license. The most important thing for us is that you feel familiar with the type of ship and that you have sufficient sailing and maneuvering experience on comparable sailing yachts. Safety is our top priority, but in addition to all the safety equipment offered, you are responsible for the sailing yacht as well as for yourself and the crew! From wind force 6, it is no longer allowed to sail. With sufficient experience it is allowed to sail in the North Sea. Are you planning to make long trips? Many of our yachts are ideally suited for this. Please inform us in advance so that we can properly prepare the sailing yacht you rent for your travel plans. We regularly receive requests from water sports enthusiasts to sail a sailing yacht to, for example, Zeeland, England or Denmark. In agreement with the tenants after you, it may be possible to leave the boat there!
Sailing with a group, or company? Happy Sailing has experience in organizing company outings on the water. You rent the sailing yachts from us, and we also arrange the experienced skippers. If desired, a coach can also work on the sailboat to strengthen the team spirit. On board a ship, the hierarchy has suddenly disappeared and everyone is equal again. A great starting point for a good team-building event! The company outings or sailing lessons for groups take place on the IJsselmeer from Medemblik, Hoorn or Enkhuizen (other places in consultation).

Declan McCarron06/06/2022Recently i had a sailing day on the Lady Victoria in Enkhuizen. Im very new to sailing, so i was with Theo, a master sailer, and his mate Jeroen, also a great sailer. The Lady Victotia is a classy boat, truly a fine strong boat to be out on the waters. I was assisting Jeroen & Theo, and doing what i could, with the expert instruction of both skippers. After we had a drink and some food. The day was deeply Joyful, and i look forward to another day, on the Lady ⛵
