Sail along in the Tour of Noord-Holland 2022

A fantastic experience with many elements such as sailing at night, calculating tides and sailing, determining tactics and above all enjoying good sailing!

Happy Sailing sails along on this fantastic tour around Noord-Holland with 1 or more of our yachts. Our Dehler 37 ‘Roelien’ has previously won the Ronde om Noord-Holland! (Read the results here)

A unique race which starts from Lelystad, across the IJsselmeer, via Medemblik towards the locks of Kornwerderzand, where the Wadden will be sailed, after which we will sail via Den Helder towards the finish place IJmuiden. The race is a wonderful event for both touring sailors and novice competitive sailors.

The race all elements for a complete and educational sailing experience; teamwork, navigation, calculating the tides on the Waddenzee and North Sea, tactics, sailing at night and very importantly a lot of fun.

Association YSY from IJmuiden has been organizing the tour of Noord-Holland for many years and the number of participating ships is also growing steadily. In the previous edition, around 250 sailing yachts took part.

Happy Sailing has sailed many times with various yachts.

Details

The start is Friday morning, June 17, 2022 in Lelystad. The sailing yacht will be sailed from Enkhuizen to Lelystad marina on Thursday. You can therefore choose to board on Thursday morning in Enkhuizen or to come on board on Thursday evening or Friday morning in Lelystad.
Depending on the wind and current, we will finish in IJmuiden on Saturday morning, June 18, 2022, somewhere between 05:00 and 12:00. After the finish we can first get some sleep, after which we can, if desired, participate in a cosy party  that is organized every year for the participants.
On Sunday we will sail back through the North Sea Canal over the IJsselmeer, via Lelystad to Enkhuizen. In consultation it is also possible to sail on to Lelystad on Saturday.

Included: registration fee for participation, diesel costs and port fees. Food and drinks are at your own expense.
