This Bénéteau First 40 is described as the ideal cruiser racer by the renowned water sports magazine Zeilen in this article. In this test it is indicated, among other things, that the yacht has both fantastic sailing characteristics and offers a lot of comfort, something you do not see often; often one is at the expense of the other. Bénéteau has combined it optimally in this version. The photos and the video speak for themselves; this yacht cuts wonderfully through the water and has a very luxurious and sporty look. And you feel that when you’re on board, both in the harbor and on the water :).
The yacht has undergone a full refit in 2021 and winter 2022. Here the interior has been renewed with new decoration of the woodwork and Alcantara fabric on the walls and ceiling. The floor has also been tackled and equipped with comfortable PVC in a light wood finish. All mattresses in the cabins have been renewed and outside the entire steering column with steering wheel has been overhauled and equipped with a new spray hood, hood and lazy jacks. The galley is very complete and luxuriously equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay on board.
Because Bénéteau yachts are more expensive to purchase than, for example, Bavaria’s, they are hardly rented out in the Netherlands. Fortunately, Happy Sailing now offers sailing enthusiasts the opportunity to enjoy this beautiful French yacht on our Dutch waters!

Port of Medemblik, in IJsselmeer
This yacht is located in the beautiful Pekelharinghaven of Medemblik (check the location on Google Maps).
From Medemblik it is only 11 miles (usually less than 2 hours) sailing to Stavoren from where you sail directly onto the Frisian Lakes.
The Waddenzee can also be reached in no more than 2 hours sailing (also approximately 11 miles) via the locks of Den Oever.
Medemblik is known as a cozy old port city with a shopping street about 200 meters from the port with nice clothing stores, restaurants, bars, supermarket and much more. You can read more information about the possibilities on these sites: Tourist Information, In Medemblik and You Medemblik.
If you want to do something fun on the day of departure or return, you can visit Radboud Castle (right next to the harbor), the steam engine museum or the bakery museum (in the shopping street).
Right next to the harbor is a beautiful park with a restaurant (Koekenbier) with a playground for the kids and a mini golf course. To view the area you can rent bicycles at the harbor office.

Declan McCarron06/06/2022Recently i had a sailing day on the Lady Victoria in Enkhuizen. Im very new to sailing, so i was with Theo, a master sailer, and his mate Jeroen, also a great sailer. The Lady Victotia is a classy boat, truly a fine strong boat to be out on the waters. I was assisting Jeroen & Theo, and doing what i could, with the expert instruction of both skippers. After we had a drink and some food. The day was deeply Joyful, and i look forward to another day, on the Lady ⛵
