About this Bavaria 38 Cruiser
With the wonderful space and comfort that Bavaria is known for, this yacht is ideal for groups of 4 to 6 to 7 people. The yacht is of course fully equipped. The draft is 1.70 meters.
The authentic mainsail (instead of a furling mainsail) and the furling genoa (instead of a furling jib) certainly contribute to an improved sailing performance compared to regular Bavarias.
This sailing equipment, together with an autopilot and chartplotter, among other things, make this Bavaria 38 a beautiful yacht for a relaxing sailing holiday!

Port of Medemblik
This yacht is located in the beautiful Pekelharinghaven of Medemblik (check the location on Google Maps).
From Medemblik it is only 11 miles (usually less than 2 hours) sailing to Stavoren from where you sail directly onto the Frisian Lakes.
The Waddenzee can also be reached in no more than 2 hours sailing (also approximately 11 miles) via the locks of Den Oever.
Medemblik is known as a cozy old port city with a shopping street about 200 meters from the port with nice clothing stores, restaurants, bars, supermarket and much more. You can read more information about the possibilities on these sites: Tourist Information, In Medemblik and You Medemblik.
If you want to do something fun on the day of departure or return, you can visit Radboud Castle (right next to the harbor), the steam engine museum or the bakery museum (in the shopping street).
Right next to the harbor is a beautiful park with a restaurant (Koekenbier) with a playground for the kids and a mini golf course. To view the area you can rent bicycles at the harbor office.

Ondanks dat we een echte Hollandse zomer hadden, een prima vakantie gehad met de Hanse 34. Flexibele opstelling en heldere communicatie van Simon van Happy Sailing heeft daar zeker aan bijgedragen.

Non-tidal cursus gedaan op de mooie winner 1120 met Theo. Vanwege weinig wind toch uitgeweken naar de waddenzee voor wat meer wind. Dit resulteerde in een prachtige tocht. Theo was erg prettig in de omgang en deelde graag zijn kennis. Veel geleerd en zelfvertrouwen op gedaan!

Topweek achter de rug met de 35 Match. De boot was prima voor elkaar en zeilt fantastisch. Zon bleef een beetje weg maar heerlijke wind. Contact met verhuur vooraf, en met Ruud gedurende de week zelf was erg prettig. Bedankt .
